Raising Finance

Wherever you're planning has taken you, the chances are your conclusion includes a requirement for funding and there is a high level of probability that you don't have it. At Kingmakers we can guide you through the different options, put you in touch with trusted sources of finance and assist you with the all important negotiations necessary to end up with the best deal for you and your business.

Banks

When it comes to raising money if you have an established business with very little debt, a strong diverse management team, a low risk requirement, plenty of cashflow and shareholders with lots of lovely unencumbered fixed assets, then the bank is the place for you. As Bob Hope once put it "A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it." Seriously though, a Bank (it may not be your current business bankers) may well be the best place to raise finance but it helps to understand the required approach needed to elicit the most favourable response and to plan this accordingly, which is where Kingmakers can help.

Business Angels

If you can live with a little less of the cake, have a great plan and can provide some regular return in the way of income, along with an exit strategy (even if it's not a completely failsafe one) and your looking for investment from zero to around £1mil then a Business Angel could help. They could be a friend of yours (or a friend of ours), a wealthy associate from the golf or the bridge club, or a specialist private equity firm who specialise in this style of lending within financial services, and yes, they do exist!

Venture Capital

If your aspirations are a little larger and you're looking for funding in excess of £1mil then you may well end up needing to talk to a Venture Capital company. There are a surprising number of these businesses operating in financial services, each owning part or all of an IFA business and most with an appetite for more!
