Kingmakers was established in May 2005 by Rob Stevenson a financial services professional with 16 years experience in the Independent sector. He is a qualified IFA and has also worked as an Administrator, Para-planner, Practice Manager and Company Director.

His financial services career started with NPI in 1989 where he worked in a number of head office roles before moving on to gain valuable experience in several Surrey based sales offices. After 4 years with NPI he then moved on to work for an IFA in Surrey as an administrator, para-planner and trainee IFA. In this time he gained the Chartered Insurance Institute's Financial Planning Certificate qualifications, along with a vast amount of practical experience.

In 1996 he joined Bradbury Hamilton Ltd in London working as an IFA and para-planner for the principle IFA, before joining Scottish Equitable plc in 1998. Working at the City of London branch Rob gained a valuable insight into the workings of a variety of IFA business models before returning to Bradbury Hamilton Ltd in October 2000 as IFA, Practice Manager and finally Director.

As a Director at Bradbury Hamilton Ltd, Rob sat on the main board, undertook the company secretary role, worked on the development of company strategy, assisted with the day-to-day running of the business, provided advice to clients as an IFA, and worked on 24 of the 35 successful acquisitions of IFA businesses undertaken by the company.

In his spare time Rob likes to relax by hurling himself down mountains, either on a Mountain Bike in the Summer or on a Snowboard in the Winter.
